As I am presently employed as a Senior Community Development Advisor for the Whakatane District Council, I am not presently seeking freelance contract opportunities. That said, People + Place will continue to operate but will now mostly concentrate on my research, speaking engagements and the charitable projects I am involved with.

Community Education for Sustainability

Eco-Virtues Workshop - A 2 1/2 hour inter-active workshop that is designed to be applicable to many different audiences: businesses, youth groups, parent groups, educational establishments and the content can be tailored to the participants level of understanding.

The participants will  be introduced to the seven Eco-Virtues and will leave with a personalised action plan for the adoption of the human qualities and business values needed to live harmoniously with the finite resources of our planet. Positive solutions to today’s challenges are explored by Karen who brings her experience as an environmental educator promoting community based solutions

As the classical virtues can be found, in one guise or another, within all cultures and religions, this seminar is relevant to all.

To have an Eco-Virtues and the Importance of Being Earnest Workshop at your place or conference please contact Karen to discuss your requirements.
